This was a lovely find while out and about on my lunch break! I had not looked at the Holiday Collection released by Laura Mercier, but I thought I'd go past their counter at David Jones just to see if there was anything new. I did not expect THIS gorgeous beauty! ^_^ It's called, Glamour Wardroe: Dual Decker Colour for Eyes, Cheeks & Lips. It was displayed on a little round table along with a few other Laura Mercier Christmas gift packs. Apparently, they were only given six in stock initially and they sold out straight away and then they stocked a few more! To my luck, it was their last one. (Sadly, I'm told they're not likely to get any more in my local store - but, if you're keen on this, I would hurry and see if you can get one near you!!!)
Love the dark brown and Christmas red combo! So lovely and rich. :)
The palette comes in this very sturdy hard rectangular case with a "snake skin" pattern in the dark brown. It has a zipper. It's feels very high quality. (Mind you, I'm not generally a fan of animal prints, especially snake skin, but this one is a little more subtle and the dark brown colour tones it down a bit. Otherwise, I'd probably be too scared to touch it! LOL). Underneath the lid or top part of the case is a large mirror. Very handy.
There are two decks of makeup. The first or top deck houses three luster eye colours, two matte eye colours and three sateen eye colours. Plus, there are two little eye brushes: one dual-ended that has a smudge brush on on end and a crease brush on the other; and a 'pony tail' larger blending brush. You swivel the top deck to reveal the second or bottom deck.
The second/bottom deck consists of five lip glazes (top row), which are predominantly warm to neutral toned lip colours, and four sheer crème colours (bottom row): one for a natural, slightly flushed glow; a blush; highlighter and a bronzer. A little lip brush is also stored here.
